designed for
Those who support women through pregnancy
The Visualize My Birth® Provider Certificate equips midwives, doulas, nurses, physicians, lactation professionals, therapists, chiropractors, physical therapists, childbirth educators, and other maternal health professionals to confidently integrate the official Visualize My Birth® Method into the care they already provide. Rather than teaching providers to recreate the method, the program establishes a consistent, evidence-informed framework that preserves the integrity of the original experience while supporting women across pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period.
We prepare women physically and educationally for birth, but how intentionally are we preparing the brain and nervous system for the experience itself?
Imagine being the practitioner who doesn’t just know what to say during birth, but understands what this mother has rehearsed for months and knows how to help her return to it without pulling her out of her physiology.
Imagine supporting a woman throughout pregnancy with a deeper understanding of the physical, nutritional, emotional, and physiological foundations that can shape her experience.
Imagine walking beside her through birth understanding not only birth physiology, but her Birth Vision™, her Voice Rehearsal™, her Anchor Statements™, her Reset Breath™, and the language and practices she has spent months making familiar.
And imagine continuing to support her into postpartum, breastfeeding, newborn care, recovery, and the enormous transition that follows birth—with a more complete understanding of the entire season she is moving through.
a guided journey for practitioners
Be Part of a New Standard in Birth Preparation
Visualize My Birth® was created to change the way women prepare for birth—and that change cannot stop with mothers. The professionals walking beside them need to understand this approach, too. This professional program goes beyond learning the Visualize My Birth® Method alone.

build your understanding
Pregnancy, Birth, and Postpartum Support
Learn the VMB approach to intentional mind + body preparation through repetition, familiarity, nervous system support, and Guided Mental Rehearsal™.
Through real-world case studies and professional application, you’ll learn how to take what you are learning beyond theory and understand how it may look when supporting different women, different circumstances, different decisions, and different birth experiences.
You are not being trained to replace a mother’s medical provider or practice outside your professional scope.
You are learning how to become a more informed, prepared, and intentional member of her support team.
And when a mother has practiced the Visualize My Birth® Method, you will understand the language she is using, what she has rehearsed, and how to help her return to her own preparation rather than introducing something entirely new in the moment.
a new standard of birth preparation
Intentionally preparing the mind and nervous system
We are building a new standard of birth preparation. One that recognizes that preparing for birth means more than understanding what the body will do. It means intentionally preparing the mind and nervous system for the experience through repetition, familiarity, and Guided Mental Rehearsal™.
The Visualize My Birth® Certificate Program is an invitation to be among the professionals who understand the whole journey—from pregnancy preparation to the birth space and into postpartum—and know how to support the VMB mother within it.
This is not simply another course to complete. It is:
- A method to understand.
- A framework to apply.
- Case studies to bring the education into real-world support.
- A shared language to bring into your care.
- And an opportunity to be part of what comes next in birth preparation.

Visualize My Birth®
Changing the Way Women Prepare for Birth
Visualize My Birth® is a first-of-its-kind birth preparation ecosystem created by Dr. Kimberly Spair—pediatric feeding specialist, holistic health practitioner, researcher, educator, and mother of four—to help women intentionally prepare not only their bodies for birth, but also their minds and nervous systems.
The idea for Visualize My Birth® began long before it had a name.
After laboring naturally to 10 centimeters with her first son before an unexpected emergency cesarean, Kimberly couldn’t stop asking one question:
Why do we spend so much time preparing women physically for birth, yet so little time preparing the brain and nervous system for the experience itself?
Over the following decade, she immersed herself in the study of birth physiology, neuroscience, neuroplasticity, the subconscious mind, nervous system regulation, athletic mental rehearsal, psychology, and maternal health. During that time, the vision for an entirely different approach to birth preparation came to her in a series of dreams.
She envisioned women preparing for birth the way elite athletes, musicians, pilots, and surgeons prepare for high-performance moments—not simply by gathering information, but through intentional mental rehearsal, visualization, repeated practice, and nervous system preparation.
Years later, she became the first woman to practice the method herself.

Using what would become the Visualize My Birth® Method, Kimberly intentionally rehearsed her second, third and fourth births for months before they began, creating detailed sensory experiences and listening daily to personalized recordings in her own voice. Both births unfolded remarkably close to those rehearsals, with her third and fourth births lasting approximately two hours. At 43 years old, she experienced a peaceful, pain-free fourth birth that forever changed her understanding of birth preparation.
While Kimberly believes intentional mental rehearsal played a profound role in her own birth experiences, Visualize My Birth® is not about guaranteeing a particular outcome or promising a perfect birth. Instead, it is about helping women prepare their minds, nervous systems, and hearts to meet birth with greater confidence, familiarity, trust, and presence—regardless of how their individual birth unfolds.
Today, that vision has grown into a complete education ecosystem designed to transform the way both mothers and birth professionals prepare for pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period.
The flagship Visualize My Birth® Method is a focused birth preparation program and companion app centered on Guided Mental Rehearsal™, nervous system regulation, Birth Vision development, personalized Voice Rehearsals, and other proprietary tools that help mothers intentionally prepare for birth before it begins.

Visualize My Birth™
Frequently Asked Questions
Explore answers to some of the most common questions about the Visualize My Birth® approach and what you can expect.
No. Visualize My Birth® is not meditation or hypnosis. It uses Guided Mental Rehearsal™ to help you intentionally prepare how you want to think, feel, respond, and experience birth—then trust yourself, follow your Birth Rhythm™, and surrender to the birth that unfolds.
You do not need to sit perfectly still, cross-legged on the floor, or inside a completely quiet room. You do not need to clear your mind, enter a hypnotic state, or be someone who is naturally good at meditating.
Visualize My Birth was created for real mothers living real lives—including busy mothers and women who feel too restless or anxious to sit and meditate. You can practice while resting, walking, folding laundry, washing dishes, or moving through your day. If faith is part of your birth preparation, you may also choose to include prayer in your personal practice.
In fact, practicing while life continues around you is part of what makes this method so powerful. You learn to return to your breath, your body, your baby, and your Birth Vision™ even when there is movement, noise, distraction, or uncertainty around you. These experiences help train resilience and prepare you to remain connected to yourself as birth moves, shifts, and unfolds around you too.
This is realistic preparation for birth—not an attempt to control it.
Train intentionally. Surrender instinctively.
Many birth-preparation programs focus primarily on learning information about birth. Visualize My Birth helps you mentally rehearse how you want to use what you have learned.
You will not simply be told to breathe, push fear away, or remain calm. You will repeatedly practice returning to your Reset Breath™, using your Anchor Statements™, connecting with your baby, responding to your environment, working with your support team, and following your Birth Rhythm™ until those responses begin to feel familiar. You are not only creating a vision for your birth. You are intentionally becoming the woman you want to be within it.
The goal is not only to know what you want to do during birth. It is to practice accessing those responses when you need them.
Your Birth Vision™ is not a prediction, guarantee, or rigid plan. It is a way of preparing how you want to meet your birth—even when something changes.
Visualize My Birth helps you rehearse flexibility, regulation, communication, trust, and surrender. You are preparing to remain connected to yourself, your baby, and your intentions without believing that you must control every detail for your preparation to have value.
Your birth can change without everything you practiced being lost.
No. Your Birth Vision is personal to you. It can reflect your preferences, circumstances, birth setting, support team, and the care you may need or choose.
Visualize My Birth does not tell you that there is only one right way to give birth. It helps you become intentional about how you want to think, feel, respond, communicate, and remain connected to yourself and your baby throughout your experience.
You will create your personal Birth Vision™—a clear, intentional vision for how you want to think, feel, respond, and experience birth.
You will then bring that vision to life through your Vision Script™ and learn how to create a Voice Rehearsal™ by recording it in one of the most familiar and meaningful voices in your life: your own.
You are not only creating a vision for your birth. You are intentionally becoming the woman you want to be within it.
You are never left to figure this out by yourself. Each step builds upon the one before it.
No. Guided Mental Rehearsals are provided for you throughout the program, so you can begin practicing immediately.
You will also be guided through creating and recording your own Vision Script if you choose. Your recording does not need to sound polished or professional. Its power comes from hearing your own voice speaking the birth vision you intentionally created.
You can begin Visualize My Birth at any point during pregnancy. Starting earlier gives you more time to practice, but it is never about doing everything perfectly.
Guided Mental Rehearsal works through familiarity and repetition. Even small, consistent moments of practice can help you strengthen the responses you want available during birth.
Visualize My Birth was designed with real motherhood and real schedules in mind. Most core Guided Mental Rehearsals are approximately 11–17 minutes, and the bonus practices are shorter. Your personal Voice Rehearsal™ can be any length you choose—there is no required recording time.
You do not need to create a perfect daily ritual. You can listen while resting, walking, completing simple tasks, or preparing for bed. Consistency matters more than having ideal conditions.
Yes, if you want them to be. Your partner, doula, or another trusted support person can learn the language, preferences, environment, and responses that are part of your Birth Vision.
This helps your support team understand how to protect your space, communicate with you, and support your Birth Rhythm without taking over your experience.
You can also complete and use the program independently.
You do not need to force yourself to feel fearless before beginning. Visualize My Birth gives you space to notice the fears, expectations, previous experiences, and birth stories you may be carrying—without asking you to relive everything at once.
You will be guided in deciding what you want to carry forward and what no longer belongs in the story you are creating. The program also includes a gentle bonus practice to support the processing of previous birth experiences, generational trauma, stories, and fears.
Visualize My Birth is educational and supportive and is not a substitute for individualized mental-health or trauma care.
No program can guarantee exactly how birth will feel or unfold—but that does not mean mental rehearsal cannot have a powerful influence on how birth sensations are experienced.
Fear, tension, unfamiliarity, and anticipation can all affect the way the nervous system interprets sensation. Guided Mental Rehearsal™ helps make birth feel more familiar before it begins, allowing you to practice softening, regulating your nervous system, working with your body, and responding intentionally rather than immediately bracing against what you feel.
Many mothers who rehearse consistently describe birth as more manageable and less painful, and some experience very little pain or no pain at all. Kimberly’s own fourth birth was pain-free after she deepened the way she mentally rehearsed her birth—one of the experiences that ultimately shaped Visualize My Birth®.
VMB does not promise that every mother will have the same experience or suggest that discomfort means she practiced incorrectly. It gives you tools that may reduce fear, tension, and the perception of pain while supporting you in remaining connected to your body, your baby, and your Birth Rhythm™.
The purpose is not to guarantee perfection. It is to expand what may be possible through intentional preparation.
No. Visualize My Birth complements childbirth education and individualized care from your qualified healthcare providers.
The program focuses specifically on mental rehearsal, nervous-system preparation, personal vision, intentional responses, and surrender. It does not diagnose conditions, provide medical advice, or replace appropriate prenatal and birth care.
Visualize My Birth® (VMB) is the signature birth-rehearsal method for mothers who want to intentionally prepare how they will think, feel, respond, and experience birth.
For those who want more, there are two additional pathways:
VMB Complete
VMB Complete includes the entire Visualize My Birth program along with comprehensive education for pregnancy, birth, and early postpartum.
It is designed for the mother who wants to understand more than a pregnancy checklist. You will learn about pregnancy and birth physiology, your changing body, nourishment, movement, common choices and decisions, newborn considerations, postpartum preparation, and the questions you may want to bring to your providers.
VMB gives you the method. VMB Complete gives you the comprehensive education surrounding it.
VMB Certificate
VMB Certificate includes everything inside VMB Complete, along with advanced education, deeper discussions, case studies, and professional application of the VMB Method.
It is designed for doulas, midwives, nurses, lactation professionals, birth educators, therapists, wellness practitioners, and other qualified professionals who support women through pregnancy and birth. It is also available to mothers who want the deepest possible understanding of the method, pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
Professionals learn how to appropriately support mothers using the VMB Method while preserving the integrity of the original program. The certificate does not permit practitioners to copy, reproduce, or independently reteach the proprietary method. Instead, practitioners support clients who experience Visualize My Birth through the original program.
A certificate is awarded upon successful completion.
